Annual Fees
The yearly orchestra fee for all students is $150. If your student does not have an instrument and needs to rent one, the school instrument rental fee is an additional $60 per year. Students who play the bass must also pay the $60 instrument fee because they use the instruments for practice at school. Most students who play the cello will also use the instruments at school rather than bring a cello to school.
Parents may pay the orchestra fee and instrument rental fee by cash or check or credit card. Checks should be made payable to the Austin High School Orchestra. Parents may pay by credit card at austin.myschoolcentral.com.
Uniform Requirements
Uniforms are included as part of the yearly orchestra fee.
However, students who wear pants and a jacket as their uniform must purchase a long-sleeved white button-up shirt, black socks, and black shoes.
Students who wear a dress as their uniform must purchase black shoes.
While every effort is made to accurately fit students for their uniforms, any alterations to the uniforms that are needed are not paid for by the program. Please have your student bring the uniform home if alterations are needed prior to the first concert of the year.
